Broadoak Primary School Redevelopment – Public Exhibition

A public exhibition will be held at Broadoak Primary School on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th December 2014, 15.30 till 19.30

Dear Parent or Carer

Broadoak Primary School Redevelopment – Public Exhibition

As you may be aware, Broadoak Primary School has secured funding to build a new school and play facilities on its existing site. Once complete, the existing Broadoak Primary School will be demolished, and this part of the site will be reinstated as green open space. The modern replacement school will be able to accommodate the growing needs of both pupils and the local community.

As a parent/guardian we fully appreciate that you will be keen to understand exactly what is proposed and how it may impact upon you and your children. Therefore, a public exhibition has been arranged where the current proposals will be displayed ahead of the submission of a planning application.

The details of the exhibition are as follows:

  • Venue: Broadoak Primary School, Norman Road, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL6 8QG.
  • Dates: Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th December 2014.
  •  Times: 15.30 till 19.30 both days.

The exhibited material will include the latest plans, including details regarding access arrangements, the phasing of development, the construction process and timescales. Members of the project team will be in attendance to answer any questions. There will also be an opportunity to record any observations on a feedback form.

If you are unable to attend the exhibition, the plans will be available for you to view and comment on when the application is formally submitted.

We hope to see you at the event.

Yours faithfully

Mr D Howlett
Head Teacher
