Broadoak Primary School is only as strong as its community and we are committed to building excellent links between home and school, valuing contributions made by all parents and carers. ‘Friends Of Broadoak’ is Broadoak’s ‘Parents, Teachers and Family Association’ (PTFA).
Who Are The Friends Of Broadoak?
We are a diverse team who work well with the school to:
- Raise money for the children, enabling us to buy the things that they want to see and use in school.
- Engage in activities which support the school
- Engage in activities which enhance the school experience of the pupils attending it.
What Do We Do?
In practice activities involve organising and running social and fundraising activities. All money raised is used to fund extra things for school. This has meant that in the last few years we have been able to buy an outdoor classroom, a bouncy castle , popcorn machine and contributed funds toward running our fantastic Mothers/Fathers and Grandparent Day Events, to name but a few.
We are always looking at new equipment, in consultation with the School Pupil Council.
Want to get involved?
Well, why not come and join us at any of the following:
- Coffee Morning
- Stay and Play
- Mother’s Day
- Cinema Nights
- Parents’ Meetings
We are always looking for new and active members of our Friends of Broadoak Association. If you are interested, or for more information regarding the above activities please contact the school office.
How Often Are The Meetings?
We meet regularly, at least once each half term.
